MAJOR UPGRADE

Dear users,
We will be going through a major upgrade to our system. We are going to install many new features which we hope to help make our community a lot better. This upgrade will include changes to the following: personal profiles, gallery, blog, groups, admin panel. |

After hours of non-stop working, we are happy to say that we were successful in fixing the bugs we noticed in our system. Below is a list of some things we have worked on. We call this MicroDiary version 2.2
- A complete re-coding of "Recent Activity" on profile
- A complete re-coding of "What's New" on the members portal
- A complete re-coding of "Ad Campaigns" portal
- Relocation of "Recent News" and "What's New" on the members portal
- Addition of the new plugin "Events"
- Change of permission in uploads
- Creation of a new membership type titled "VIP" with advanced features
- Modification of .htaccess file to allow short URL
- More advanced security system
- Banning of users to certain profiles (users can now ban users from viewing their profile)
- Work on Cascading Style Sheet (CSS)
- Added features for groups
- Fixes to the blog system
- Fixes to the photos system
- HTML is now allowed in posts and blogs
We thank you very much for your patience and understanding. We know many of you sent us messages stating the features you had wanted to see on our site. Unfortunately, we could not incorporate all ideas. We hope to do another maintenance in the feature to fix and ad more features.

Today we worked on fixing up the Private Message system. We made it much similar to the GMail system where our server will automatically show you your past conversations with the other person. This was added due to the popular demand. We hope you all enjoy this new feature.

GOING UNDER BETA!!!

The goal of MicroDiary was to create an online hangout for friends, families, co-workers and even classmates. We had aimed to create a social network that contained almost all of Facebook's features combined with the customization style of MySpace and blogging style of FriendMaker. After many months of coding, we can finally say that we have succeeded. After the recent alpha stage, we have completed all we need for the major system and are now ready for the beta. On March 1, 2008 MicroDiary will officially be open to the public as a beta project. This beta stage is to ensure that we have all bugs worked out before we launch it to entire world. We will make all features available for users except the forum. A bug was discovered in our forum security system that is needed to be worked out. It will be launched soon, so don't worry. All staffs here at MicroDiary is excited to see how everything goes. We hope you enjoy our online community! |
